You know, about the knots, there's always the Gordian knot solution...scissors! Though I can never resist the challenge of a good knot or tangle...generally a true exercise in patience.

Amy, I have to say I love that you talk about children's books that you enjoy. I'm a children's librarian and your favorites often show up in my storytimes after I've had a chance to get them in and look them over. Many of your project ideas have also made their way into my ArtKids program. Keep up the good work, I love it!
