This photo tells the story. My four grandsons are here for awhile. My house is filled with endless boy energy, and I'm adding new words to my vocabulary and learning to play games on the Wii and DS. In between all of that, I manage to find little windows of time in my studio. Amy and I have been working on projects and will have some shows coming up.
Last week I took over three pieces to be hung in the Snowgoose Festival Art Show at Four Springs Nature Preserve on Camano Island. The photo shows the room where I left them...draped over a couch. You see our fiber art pieces Winter Circles and Canopy, and below is a framed collection of watercolor bird sketches that I did on tiny tags. The show will be open February 28th through the end of March. If you are in the area, stop by to see a fantastic showing of bird art.
These are three totes that we recently finished. Amy and I both worked on these, She did the piecing on the panels, and I quilted, then put them together. I love working on these...the process is very satisfying...and I can do it in little bits of time. And for now, that is perfect for me. I see these totes as a way to carry a statement of art on your shoulder...they are so colorful and unique.
Here is a recently completed piece called "O's Birds." Amy and I worked on this back in November and it's been in this pile or that, waiting its turn to be finished. The birds are watercolored sketches on tags that have been transferred to fabric. We love the whimsical look of this quilt..and the pink and green colorway....
Amy and I have been busy creating new pieces for Here2There and look forward to several shows coming up in the coming months.
