(Why this sketch? Not sure. I do have things to scan and photos to upload. But that will likely not happen for a few days. So, I thought I'd pull something from early in the Flickr gallery just because. And the colors struck me as "Mother's-Day-Ly" to some extent.)
So, tomorrow is Mother's Day. I hope it is a wonderful day for all of you who are moms - and a day of rememberance for your own moms. I was sitting waiting for a dental appointment last week and heard one of the staff behind the counter talking animatedly about a package that had just arrived for her mom - a knife sharpener. And she was raving because she'd bought something "really" nice because she wasn't going to be in town for Mother's Day, so the special knife sharpener was sure to elleviate the sting of not being able to "be there" on the day.
Umm, yeah. Okay.
A knife sharpener?

Funny! Mine was not that bad -- I got my mom a "pink" themed basket -- hot pink Reefs (the platform style), pink PJ's, and three Mary Kay lipsticks (which come in pink packaging), and Camden made her a pink cut out flower collage. --Better than a knife sharpener, I'm sure. So, Happy Mother's Day-- and hope you don't get a knife sharpener!
Yeah, a knife sharpener doesn't seem to have that "fondness for Mom" attached to it. :)
You're so funny. In your previous post you mentioned the dreaded 80 degree temps and I am SO opposite!! San Francisco would not likely be the place for me. I definitely need my heat.
Hope everyone is feeling better on the home front. Just popped by to wish you a Happy Mother's Day. Did you do anything special?
I had my mom and mother-in-law over for brunch and then the girls and I went to see the play, "Anne of Green Gables" at the Venice Little Theater. My sister gave the girls those tickets for X-mas and they just happened to fall on today. A very nice time.
Oh, and I love your grids! Beautiful!
