They wanted bagel pizzas. Well, the big one did. So, I made bagel pizzas. I put them on cute red and yellow fish-shaped plates. I told them...

"They are really, really hot. So you'll have to wait."

He says...

"Oh. Well my suggestion is that we should put on welder's clothes."

It's gonna be a long, and wisdom-filled, summer, I'm sure.

Should I add that on the first day of summer break - a day I feel fairly sure many kids sleep in, he was up before me. When I came in, he was in the chair, reading a book. Just two months ago, he was still waking me up in the night (every night) to put his covers back on him when they'd fall to the floor. Now, he's getting up on his own and sitting and reading until I wake.

That is too funny-- and oh so sweet. It's amazing how the grow! :) Thanks for sharing :)

wait till he gets up and makes coffee for you.

Teenagers are awesome! (mostly;)

pic is adorable. Just adorable.

Isn't it amazing how fast they mature - and the things that come out of their mouths! LOL.

I bought the first Magic Tree House book yesterday and I'm going to read it. My plan is to build up Camden's library with awesome titles so that we never 'run' out of things to read when he gets older. I'm sure in a few years there will be others besides MTH, but I really like the concept behind MTH. I used to be a nanny for a family of five and the little boy of the family reminded me much of Matthew... and I remember buying him MTH books with the family credit card on our 'outings', when I was instructed to buy one thing for each kid!
