Episode 184: Idea Books

Amy Philosophical Threads | Podcast

High school art show, drawing from life, and two book reviews: Art Lab for Kids and Journal It! Mostly… a skim through two books. But also… high school art show, drawing from life, and more creative talk to get you through your drive, your tea, your project.

  1. Yes! This one is gold! So many things I appreciated from what you shared in this episode. You’ve got me picturing in my mind, the artist on the subway with her watercolors. I am one of those who stockpile your new episodes. Listening while cleaning, ironing, or doing other tasks are so much better if I can listen at the same time!

    1. Thank you so much for the feedback, Christy! I wish I had a photo of that senior’s work from the wall… now that I know how she painted those, I would love to see it again!

  2. I kept meaning to tell you about Kaffe Fassett’s paintings of mugs. I went to a lecture recently and he showed some of them Check out his website and look at the paintings. You will love the paintings of cups and china.

There is value in what you are doing and your podcasts are very well produced compared to some of the others to which I am subscribed. Keep doing what you are doing! I love it. Your show DOES sound like a real show and has great sound.

I feel like there is a cohesion to your episodes, even if you don’t see it. Rambly is good and I really liked this episode.

    1. Very cool! Although I am a fan of Kaffe’s work, I wasn’t aware of the mug/China paintings. Those are wonderful. Thank you for mentioning them here for me to check out.
