 Episode 327: Salon Talk

Above: a glimpse of one wall of the salon… and the 18×24 oil painting hanging up high looks strangely small but is by one of my favorite artists. Golden light. Window light. The green of the station chair. “He’s only a high school student,” I heard someone say. True enough.

Episode 327 of the CMP, a Creativity Matters Podcast

In this episode of the CMP, a bit about salon talk and just a little bit about my current sketchnote practice with the Sleeping at Last enneagram podcast episodes as my sketchnote fodder and the fact that I am filling pages and pages with icons. You should go listen to Sleeping at Last, for sure. His music is amazing, and I really love his podcast episodes on his process and on the enneagram types themselves.

Aside: I am really intrigued by enneagram, and this podcast takes an approach that really resonates with me. While I am still unsure of my type, one test I took really fit, and the podcast episode about that type also fit, and the music in that show, especially, reached me. But other tests provide some contradiction, so I am slowly reading and learning more. Two books that come up frequently in these discussions that are worth checking (I haven’t been able to get either yet): The Sacred Enneagram: Finding Your Unique Path to Spiritual Growth (Christopher Heuertz) and The Road Back to You (Ian Cron).

Links are provided for convenience to help you find/see/explore the books, tools, and resources I talk about. Using the library, when possible, is always my first recommendation.
